Subtle and stylish, the necklace glints upon your neck and the herkimer diamond is a natural and subdued statement that can be worn with many outfits for a streamlined, minimal look.

A rutile herkimer diamond, approximately 8 x 10 mm is hangs from an 16” 14k gold filled box chain. Each of our herkimer diamonds are hand selected and vary slightly from one another, no two are alike.

Herkimer diamonds are a type of double terminated quartz (where the crystals form on both ends.) They are known for their extreme clarity and are ascribed to have specific occult properties and mystical powers.

The name herkimer diamond came from the untrained eye confusing the unique crystals with diamonds. Herkimer diamonds are only found in Herkimer County, NY, which was named after Revolutionary War General Nicholas Herkimer. The Native American tribe of the Mohwak people originated in this area and are known as "The People of the Crystals."

Due to the aberrant nature of minerals, each piece of gem/mineral is unique.

Many of our hand selected crystals have inclusions of hydro-carbon and marcasite needles (black inclusions in the stone that can be seen in the pictures.)

Each piece of Fyntage jewelry is hand-crafted, often with rare and/or unique beads and components, all of which requires delicate handling.

After each wear, gently wipe with a soft jewelry cloth and store in a jewelry box. Please note that many of our pieces are made with wire-wrapping techniques, which should be delicately handled and stored in an appropriate setting.

Avoid undue moisture and should your item get wet, make sure to dry it off. Certain metals and plating (specifically gold-plated) can tarnish over time when exposed to chemicals such as pool and sea water, hair spray, perfume and lotions. It's recommended to put your jewelry on last to minimize the contact with these chemicals.
